2023About Me
I am grateful to have been born into a musical family. My father (also John Colaiacovo) put me on to a wide array of music from an early age as well as teaching me the piano/music from age 6. At around 12 years old I began studying drums with Scott Strunk. I love both instruments, but my voice is more heard through keyboard instruments.
After studying classical piano for a while, I began to become more interested in original compositions, Black American Music and synthesizers. I studied Jazz Piano/Music Education at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts.
My work is a combination of all the amazing heroes that I listen and learn from daily along with the contemporaries that I am lucky to call my friends and chosen family.
